Laws – Legal Landmines & Everyday Wisdom
– 3 hours elective credit $25
This course reminds licensees of the many rules they are presented with in the real estate business, from antitrust to RESPA. We will discuss many issues: advertising words and phrases to avoid, the CAN-SPAM Act, Do Not Call List, Fair Housing issues, etc. There is discussion about lead based paint, RESPA, antitrust law, Regulation Z, and more.

Contracts Agency License Law
– 3 hours core credit $25
This three-part course covers the basics of contract law – elements of a contract, types and classification of contracts. Second, we will discuss agency and brokerage relationships, agency contracts, representation, fiduciary duty, etc. The third part of the course is an overview of Missouri Statutes and Rules and how they apply to licensees. This is an interactive course with a lot of discussion and Q&As.

Code of Ethics for Street Smart Agents
– 3 hours elective credit – also fullfills NAR COE biennial requirement $25
This course reviews the National Association of REALTORS® Code of Ethics: history of the Code, application of the Code of Ethics in dealing with customers, clients and other REALTORS®. The class will review how the Code is enforced and discuss different situations and how the Code of Ethics applies in each case. Finally, we will discuss Pathways to Professionalism, the professional courtesies intended to be used by REALTORS® on a voluntary basis.
